Woke up last Saturday to a very humid day after it was raining overnight. Made it very hot on our morning walk. It was unbearable especially as there was no wind at all very still which is unusual here. Usually get a breeze coming in from the trade winds this time of year. But it didn’t last, the wind came in later in the day. Labour day yesterday, long weekend, which made it a lot busier than usual. Good shopping specials all weekend 40 to 50% on clothes. We purchased a few items which the sales were on. Shouldn’t have to shop anymore now. Posted below some photos that some of you would have seen on previous years but not all would have.

Closer up. We haven’t seen any great sunsets yet. Usually we have some amazing ones at some stage while we are here but there’s still plenty of time for that to happen.
Last night
As we walk down the ramp from our hotel this is always a great sight to see on our way down for our first swim. Looking over the lagoon in front of the Hilton Hotel next door to us.
One of my favourite shots, standing here with the ocean behind me, looking over to the Hilton Hotel. Lagoon on the left and on the right where we swim in the ocean where it washes into a bay. The Ilikai where we are staying with the turquoise colour on the outside, is above the middle of the lagoon. To go for a swim we walk around the lagoon over to the sea. Waikiki main beach is further along to the right out of the picture. Takes us about 15mins to walk along to there.

Taken in front of the Ilikai standing down at the boat harbour. You can see the building is a Y shape and the stick of the Y is the front wing.
The front wing is where we are about in the middle half way up looking over the boat harbour. Right at the top on the roof is a restaurant with amazing views. This is where we always go for our wedding anniversary for dinner. In the corner of the building is an outside lift that goes up to just the restaurant. You can imagine PT going up this one he can’t look, looks inside all the way.
